Burke Pediatrics, LLC 2022

We studied this drug for a year in 44 patients here and in "SOME" it was remarkable in it effectiveness. All subjects had at least 5% total body surface area affected...some more like 60%. Some got remarkably better and stayed better....others relapsed and improved with resumption of therapy. Some did not respond. It represents a seeming safe ( FDA) additional or alternative to steroid creams, particularly in children with moderately severe or extensive eczema. It is costly ( CVS has it listed for $685.00 for 60 gms or 2 oz.) so it is unlikely to be covered by insurance without prior approval and evidence of failure of usual therapies such as steroids.
